Michael J. Brown
I have grown so frustrated over the past - FOREVER - with how 3dsMax has chosen to "highlight" (if you can call it that) the 'selected object' material inside the Material Map Editor window. You know how it shows those tiny, little solid white triangles at each corner of the materials sample slot to show which one is assigned to the object you have currently selected? I need more than just that subtle indication. I need for that material slot to POP, baby! I can't tell you how many times I've re-inserted a material into the editor, having missed those stealth white brackets that blend in so well with the empty white brackets of all the other materials around it, only to have the newly inserted one be a usesless ghost because the active one is already there. UGHHHHH!!! So my question is can the color of those brackets (for the currently selected object only) be changed from white? Or is this a concern I need to raise with Autodesk themselves for possible consideration in the next release? This may sound like a small thing (and it is) but it's the 'little' things that really get under your skin after a certain period of time - you know? Kyle
I agree with what you're saying totally. Although I'm afraid I don't have a solution to your problem, but would be interested to see if anyone does.
