rose
Hey Guys, I am a fairly new person to 3d max although, I have done the basics and have been reviewing the tutorials on the various sites. However, I haven't been able to figure out how to do the following: I want to create a sloping wall. I did a search on this forum but didn't find anything specific to create a sloped wall. I did find something about sloping terrains but I don't think this applies to walls. My aim is to create a simple wall and slope it at say a 10 degree angle. Any help or pointers would be appreciated. If you can point me to a tutorial or example, that would be great. Thanks, Rose
WAcky
Hi Rose and welcome to the forums. I would say draw a line with splines and make that slope to your desired angle. Then put an extrude modifier on it with your desired height. If you have a sloped terrain you can draw your walls with splines in the top view, then use the shapemerge command to merge your wall lines with your terrain, then select the new lines on the terrain -> create shape from selection, then extrude the new shape... Nic H
get a box and rotate it 10 degrees then edit poly cut out a window?
Stephen Thomas
Or just make your wall, add an edit poly modifier and move the vertices as required. Lots of ways to do this, all valid, whatever works for you.
Claudio Branch
The slope will be evident in the section view of the wall, so draw that using lines and then extrude to suit. Done.
