baroim
Hi All I have 2 other slaves connected to my primary workstation. Everything was okay in term of coop rendering until 2 days ago when they decided to gang up against me. For some strange reason I cant use them to render 1 image (cooperative). All attempts were ended with: Receiving MXS 0%, and this 0% will never progress. But funnily enough when I assign only one of those to render, it works as normal. I have tried to re-install the software with no success, playing with IP address (which I reckon may not be the case because single machine assignment works fine), repairing, refreshing, still not works. Any ideas guys? Thanks
Devin Johnston
Have you tried a different file to see if there might be something wrong with the one your working with?
baroim
Maxer,. I have actually. All mxs that used to be okay with coop aint working. I did find out something to add to this madness, if i activate the manager on one of the slaves and have the maxwell render gui opened on my main pc and command the network render locally, it works..!!, this will more likely be my last resort if i couldnt find any other solution, but knowing that everything was okay before, there must be something wrong happening...whatever that is
Devin Johnston
Have you had any changes in network policies or changes in PC permissions that would prevent them from communicating with the manager?
baroim
that i dont know, as far as i am aware of to say the least..is there any setting in network policy that shouldnt be set (as far as maxwell network render concern)?
Devin Johnston
I usually give all nodes full read/write access just to make sure there aren't any problems and I've had problems in the past when permissions had been changed without my knowledge and the machines stopped working properly. This may not be what is wrong with your system but it's strange that it would just stop working if nothing had changed. Did you upgrade anything? baroim
Maxer, i am not realy sure what happen to be honest, unless someone did something similar to your past problem without me knowing it. Another thing i have just found out, i noticed that the led lights on my little HUB are blinking fast as if there is traffic going on my little farm, but again that effin Receiving MXS thingie still showing as 0%. Let me try to dig deeper tomorrow, see if something has changed on that network policy or what have you,..i'll keep you posted, after all you are the only person who post reply to my problem,..lol.
