batfink82
Hi there, I like it but there is a few things i would adjust............ 1. put some trees or something on the far right hand side to block off the image, your eye just goes straight to the end of the earth. and think about horizion lines and how your sky sits in the image. 2. the tile material looks odd, the grout lines are too wide and the tiles maybe too small? 3. I would put some glass doors in as the ground level as the access to the pool/loungers. I looks a little strange having such a large white wall, these doors could be framed with some good trees/climbers? More detail and light at the ground level will improve the image. 4. i would lose the umbrella, i dont think sunburn is a risk in a night shot...... 5. the curtains on the second floor dont quite work, maybe swap for an open curtains with some light between. 6. i would put some LEDs just below the water line of the pool, then darken it slightly away from the lights. 7. lastly I would put some plants on the balconies etc to soften the image slightly. Hope this help...........
ezkapist
hi, thanks a lot for that advice, im working on this one without any references purely out of my head so its a bit harder as I am not an architect.. but i will get there.. here is a small update.. i still have more of your ideas to implement.. this is, what is so far... thanks again b
batfink82
I think the new image is much better. But it could still do with more windows on the ground floor behind the loungers. I would also look at trying some HDRI sunset environment maps. This will give your image a more realistic colouring. Night shots are a more expressive version of a day shot it should bring out different features of the building. If you want to use this as a portfolio piece you need to incorporate some of the techniques used in the industry. HDRI is used quite extensively to produce night shots and I think it could work well for you in this instance.
ezkapist
Hi, i am using a dosch hdri night map but i think its pointless as it is almost no effect at all.. i wanted to do a twilight shot but dont have a good HDRI map.. I will try a few other ones and update soon. thanks for that
