aligrafix
I m using max 9 64bit with vray 1.5SP1. My scene is an interior walk-though animation. It has many IES Lights and vray lights as it should. Using IRMap and Brute force, I got nice results with override material. After placing lights, GI is creating problem, even after turning off. I have turned off the GI completely to see the result of lights only, not the GI. The vray is calculating GI Passes just like it is on but it is off. and when i turn on the GI, IRMap passes go to 6 passes and then render. GI calculation of 6 passes takes an hour and then renders the final image. Although i tried to save the multiframe incemental and then load the IRMap to render, Even after reloading the saved IRMap, to render final image, it still calculates the GI and that is the problem for me. Please! help because I m on tight deadline and GI is playing with me.
Victor Erthal
you probably have a material with interpolated glossy reflections or refractions on you scene. that is what is causing the problem.
