Adit1001
Hi How can I improve the antialising setting for this image? Especially, I dont like the outside edge effect, is jagged. I want the lines to be sharp, and I am using Vray renderer, Adaptive DMC with Catmull-Rom min 2 max 8. I need to have sharp edges without post processing I tryed lowering the noise in DMC sampler, but without success and here is with Mitchell filter Thanks for the help in advance
mfured20
What size are you rendering to? if the image is too small, the jagged antialiasing will happen no matter what. Is this car going to be used in some kind of compositing? Cat-Rom does help with pronounced edge effects, but if you are going to leave the car on a while background then you can problably use a filter that doesnt enhance the edges... it will look smoother because it will blend the edge just a bit to get rid of the jaggedness. I usually use just the vRayLancos filter set to defaults, but thats mostly because I'm lazy and it looks all right. Also try adaptive subdivision instead of dmc, that might help... I dont use it much because I usually like a softer look to my overal images and dmc can offer that, but it might work. good luck!
Peter M. Gruhn
Just shooting off into the dark... Is this an overbright background problem? Is this a pre/postmultiply alpha problem? Anybody who knows those topics and this render..?
