Ky Lane
Guys, does anyone know of a map for 3ds that would work not unlike a noise map (where you can assign maps to channels) that works on object edges or the like? Have asked around and not getting many suggestions back, just would be nice to be able to assign diff maps to the edges of objects like paths or walls etc. Any suggestions? brynmor530
Only one I can think of is 'F edge' "www.ddag.org/"
Ky Lane
Thanks for that, but seems to be like MR's edge smoothing map? Want to be able to assign another map to edges etc
Trick
The best one on edges is http://www.vg2max.spb.ru/GradientEdge.htm You can use it as a mask, and in the bump channel you can even use it to slightly soften (is "round") the corner edges. Also works with VRayScatter to place green stuff along the roadsides... Edited March 5, 2009 by Trick

Trick
No Mental Ray support...bummer !! I would contact the developer and ask him about it. He may be able to do something about this in the short term. You can donate your firstborn to him
