Tim Saunders
I'm not sure exactly what video card I have. My display settings show Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI. Is there such thing, or does that mean somewhere between 3450 and 4000? Does anyone know how that compares to the Quadro NVS 290?
BOXXLABS
you have either a 3450 or a 4000. The only way to tell is to pull the card -there will be a lbel on the back that tells the exact model number. I can't tell you how that will compare to NVS 290. They are both quite slow compared to current gaming and workstation cards... but at 150 Million triangles per second and about 5 billion texelsa per second fill rate, the "old" Quadro 3450 is roughly the same speed as a new entry-level Quadro 570 - about a hundred bucks new online...
