Nic H
Fog In Vray!!! Finally No More Seperate Fog / Volume Light Files!!!!!! it seems when i type all capitals the computer at cgarchitect converts it to lowercase with a capital first letter. artificial intelligence imo
rmccoy
I must be an idiot too. I can't find the download link. I have logged in and everything. went to the download section. it just has sp2 on there. any other suggestions? edit: We purchased V-Ray from VizMasters. Could that be the reason we are not seeing the link on the chaos group website? Edited March 6, 2009 by rmccoy

Finally No More Seperate Fog / Volume Light Files!!!!!! it seems when i type all capitals the computer at cgarchitect converts it to lowercase with a capital first letter. artificial intelligence imo that's because capitals are considered as shouting at someone and there is no shouting on Cgarchitect. Sketchrender
This is not the big release we were waiting for is it. I thought the new one was Vray 1.6, we were going to be charged for it. So this is not it , Am i right ? Are they waiting for the release of Max 2010 for the release of that i wonder? Anybody know. phil
Dave Buchhofer
this one fixes the majority of my complaints from real production.. everything else is just candy at this point until they get to the realtime ppt release! (which i think is going to be a separate product though
WAcky
I think you're right but I've heard people playing around with some sort of hidden maya version of the realtime renderer...
Brian Smith
as the name suggests, its just a service pack update. a mighty good one but i'm sure everyone will think later that it pales to what's coming with the next full release.

Tommy L
awesome. I also cant download the new version as I have lost my password. I emailed and now Im waiting....... I've just got to take my hat off to the Vray guys. How long between payed upgrades? They really know how to treat their customers. Now if only they would write a whole '3d Studio Max replacement' software and I could jump off the Autodesk boat for good.
Brian Smith
That will never happen. They could never be the best in render engines and also oversee the production of a full 3d package.

Brian Smith
Yes, Im well aware of that However, I do find Chaos Group's customer service and business model refreshing. Totally agree...it's too bad that Autodesk doesn't provide the same...it's a bigger company of course but that shouldn't automatically preclude them from doing so.
