Slice thru model

Does anyone know of a plugin that i can use to slice thru a model of a house and seperate the two halves and the resulting edges, floors, walls etc will be caped where the cut is made?

 

I know I've seen this somewhere but I can't seem to remember where. Thanks

I'm assuming you're talking about slicing within viz/max ?? if so, cebas makes a great

plug-in called scalpel. does all you say you want

plus more... i think it's around 150 $

A Slice Modifier followed by a Cap Holes?

Thanks for the link Ed, I'll give that a look.

 

Alex, I'm familiar with the slice and cap holes technique but it seems very unstable when I try to use it on complicated meshes. I would like something that is a little more advanced. Unless you know of a better way to use it?

Cap holes is worse than useless if you're working with any imported geometry. When I did a house cutaway, I had to do it the hard way, grabbing each object and using Boolean on them one at a time. Argh!

 

It worked, but what a pain in the butt.
