A box in 3Ds Max is a 'primitive object' which, unless converted to an editable form, can not be altered beyond its organic parameters. In this case height, width, length and their respective segmentation. In order to modify further, you need to convert the box to a poly object or a mesh by adding the modifier to the object or (right-click) converting it completely.

 

In the Editable Edge sub selection you can chamfer an edge with more than one segments to create your fillet.

PS you should go through the tutorials in Max Help menu. This question is very basic and these lessons will get you up to speed in short time. ;)
