Do you have any measured points or GPS done for the footage?

If you have that it the actual units don't make a big difference as you can rescale it in max.

But if you don't have any kind of real world measurements then you'll have to do the scalling using some sort of reference. What I am doing is using Google maps or any mapping application and get some printscreens of the area of the project. Map them on a plane and try to scale it to your project. Existing topography and civil linework would make a huge difference in accuracy. Once you have that scaled properly it will be so much easier to scale your 3d solution from boujou as you can match some of your trackers to that map.

If you are using Boujou Bullet the tracking data is scaleless, there are tools within Bullet that will allow you to move/rotate/scale the cloud of points and camera, but the best bet is to try to get the data to have a reliable UP axis, and then import everything into max and then move/rotate/scale the data to match the context of your 3d scene.

The bullet data has a "main" point that all the rest of the data is linked to, if you only transform this object the whole camera track will come with it.

There is one big headache with this solution is that the camera will most likely end up scaled, which can cause problems with motion blur and some render packages. The best bet is to use a script to re-scale (without affecting the rest of the transform) the camera to [1,1,1]

Hope this helps, This is for Boujou Bullet, the full version of Boujou may have better ways of getting the data better correlated.
