manssel
I am processing radiosity on a fairly simple interior room at 95%, refine 3 and filtering 3 but the resulting image looks dirty. Looks as though it had a very small resolution. It is something similar to the effect you get when apply sun light system and render the scene without processing radiosity and looks blotchy and with a freckled pattern of very small black dots all aver the image. Can anybody tell me how to fix this?.
jucaro
Hi, Why not post a pic of your initial render as well as a screen cap of the parameters you used
manssel
I brouht a test today to explain better my problem. I know it has something to do with the meshing size but if i switch it off completely or make it too big, some parts of the scene are not iluminated. I would be grateful for any other suggestions regarding composition, lighting, color or anything else, bearing in mind this is in process. Fran
Try running more refine iterations - at least 20. You can run them only on selected objects as an option.
manssel
Thanks Fran. I'll try that tonight. Is it advisable to play arround with regatering? or not. From your experience guys, is it best to apply always certain size of mesh? or is it better to avoid meshing althogether.
Wilson Iwazawa
my advices 1- use a small mesh size, about 5 or 6 inches (i work with centimeters) 2- by reducing the mesh size you can play with 80 to 85% of quality (more than 92 only to final images with good deadlines) 3- select the bigger plane surfaces (walls, ceiling and floor) and set it 50 to 100 of refine...the global can be 20 or 30 4- maybe the filter can be reduced to 2 with this new settings.
