janmazan
I am trying to model lead flashing onto roof areas such to the side of dormer windows but I cant work out the best way to model this flasing over the roof tiles which is especially difficult when using interlocking tiles. Any suggestions?
TomA
Hi, You could try Nurbs Curves and U Lofting: (Create - NURBS Curves - Point Curve) - (Modify- Create Surfaces - U Loft) That is if you want it to be fairly fluid and controllable from a modeling point of view. Otherwise simple Spline modeling or Poly modeling from a plane or thin box would probably do it.
acjwalker
depending on ho close i usually just copy the tiles up slightly and bring them forwards a bit so the new tiles are lying on top and apply a lead material, it then flows the tiles just right. May not be the most advance way but it works as the roof is never right in the FG.
