I highly recommend a program such as Pix Plant for creating tileable bitmaps. [ETA] I've added a cordovan diffuse map and a little sample render. You should also adjust the bump map's brightness and contrast to your liking. As for shinyness, the material setup will depend entirely on the render engine you are using.
