Stephen Thomas
I'm trying to sweep a channel section along a grid for a facade. As you can see the corners get mitred but the t-junctions and crossing parts do not. Any way I can do this without resorting to manually mitring all the joints? Edit: all lines have a vertex at each junction and all vertices are welded. Edited March 18, 2009 by stef.thomas
Stephen Thomas
Sorted it! Just approached it in a different way, using rectangles and a perimeter line with an L-shape on the sweep instead. Thought I'd post the result in case it's of use to anyone else.
SandmanNinja
Yup - sometimes changing how you set up the model can help heaps. Good stuff and thanks for sharing.
danb4026
How did you get the sweeps on the windows to merge with the sweep on the perimeter rectangle?
Stephen Thomas
Seperate splines. The window parts are instances and the perimeter sweep is a seperate spline with the vertices offset from the window modules by the required amount. Obviously I mirrored the L-shaped section on the outer part too.
