You don't need to be a fryrender customer, or even a fryrender DEMO user to download it or submit your own entries. All you have to do is download the frybench package, unzip it, and run the benchmark.
already better than benchwell

thanks Frani

7m47s on an i7 920

That's 5 min faster than my Q9450 and 7 min faster than my Q6700. Over a minute faster than my clovertown octo-core. I'd like to replace the guts in my render slaves with i7 920 rigs. The xeons are loud and power-hungry.

I can imagine, just bought an i7 920(not the one I tested it on) with 12GB, a GeForce GTX280, two open PCI-E slots (for my CausticOne card I hope) and 320GB RAID-0 for around 1400 euros... This system will destroy my dual quad core @1,86 and a Quadro FX3500.

So for around 1000 euro's I can get the same machine as a render-node. hmmm....

My system is completely stable....not a hitch. I have an Asus board that allows for easy overclocking in the bios. Actually you dont even need to

use the bios, they have a tool that you can run on your desktop that allows for easy overclock features.
