Vince Paske
I'm doing some light studies using the Lighting Analysis Assistant and I think I'm missing something. When the Lighting Analysis Data window pops up, it displays a solid yellow color. The range of fc's in the scene are 35-78 and in the Analysis Value Color Coding dialogue box I set the min/max from 0-100. Shouldn't I see a color range in the greenish-blue to yellow-oranges? William Alexander
Don't have an absolute answer, been a long time, however..... The tighter the min/max = greater color gradient for more evenly lit areas. maybe a min max of 30 - 80 would work better given knowledge of 35-78fc in your scene? Vince Paske
I've played around with those values and yes, I can get the actual numerical values to read in the colors ranges specified on the rendering, but when the Lighting Analysis Data window pops up after the rendering is finished, it displays as solid yellow. So I'm either misinterpreting its purpose, or missing a buried setting completely. Thanks for the response.
ramy
The yellow window that you get at the end of a render is just a max frame buffer and doesn't mean anything useful. You can turn this off by going to your render settings, and clicking on the Render Elements tab. There is an option for the lighting analysis to uncheck the frame window. Vince Paske
Thanks Ramy. It seems like it could be made useful and give meaningful information, its too bad it doesn't.
