autocad 3d faces

Is it possible to thicken autocad faces into a defined solid group of objects. I have an irregular shape made up of 3d faces yet I need to give it some solidity (wall thickness) Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work this? I have tried extruding faces yet this just causes gaps in the geometry. Thanks in advance.

Extruding a 3dpoly line can create iregular results unless extruding along a path.

depending on how eregular your wall is. I would try and break it down into sections

model it as solids (extruded closed poly lines) then union them all together as one object.

If the wall is too complex leave it as individual bits, not one large complex object. This will help Autocad and prevent crashing.
