STRAT
all are good, and fast with some optomising, but you'll find c4d is faster in general. rendering gi at that resolution wont be fast which ever option you choose tho. why not d/l all the appropriate demos to try them out for yourself? VIC
I will download Cinema 4D demo version and try it. Thank you.
plastic
i heard that cinema 4d's GI renderer is a light version of finalrender stage-0 by cebas. is that true?
STRAT
nope. cebas do produce both, but c4d has a completely re-hashed render engine to FR. certainly not 'lite'
kunstraum.tv
c4d ist faster in gi than max + vray ?????? my experiences were completly the other way around !!
VIC
Yeah....i understand now. Will Cinema 4D use finalrender stage-1 GI render engine in next version's Cinema 4D?
STRAT
no. why should it?
VIC
finalrender stage-1 more fast right?
STRAT
dunno, never compaired them, but i'd seriously doubt it. but then FR isn't a mac tool.
kid
There's also Shade for Mac's. It's made by ExpressionTools. http://shade.e-frontier.co.jp/
VIC
I really hope FR and Vray are application, not a plug-in for 3DS MAX, and across the platfrom. 3DS MAX is too expensive for me......and only for PC
STRAT
they are NOT cross platform.
