carlangas
Hi all, I can't seem to remember what 3ds max command joined two profiles together in a loft, its sort of like a loft but I would have two slightly different profiles and a path. Does anyone know what command it is? Thanks
Horhe
In the loft tab, use the percentage spinner and the option to choose different profiles in different postions. Basically first make a loft, then go into the modifier tab, and add more profiles from there, chosing the appropriate distance along the path. Hope that helps. carlangas
Thanks for your input Jakub, This is what I came up with, do you know why its blending like that to the other profile? the two profiles are the same exept for the backrest which is suppoesed to be longer. danb4026
Why do you need to join the two profiles together? Why not just do a loft with just the one shape of the seat? You wont have to worry about any twisting.

Peter M. Looks like they have a different first vertex. You can go back to the profile shapes, vertex mode. Select a vertex and hit the "make first" button. Make sure each profile has the "same" vertex as its "first" and you should be grand.
