My tip for every newbie

I am a long time scanline user . Recently am making the jump to mental ray. Thanks to Brian B .

 

Here is my tip for any user of any software that is helping me immensely.

 

Build and render the room you are sitting. I put in photometric light settings of the actual lights in my room.

 

Sounds simple but it really helped me a lot.

It will give you a great understanding of what you are doing with your software settings. Hope this helps someone.
