M.H.B
hey every one!!! i am having some problems when i am trying to weld some vertices...actually the problem is just one...i was doing fine, but out of nowhere i started to recieve this msg : No vertices within weld threshold : i already tried to change those parameters in weld panel but the msg keeps poping up! thanks! xgarcia
It means the vertices are already welded and there are no more within the threshold to weld. Usually this happens if you already welded them or if you've selected only one vertex.
M.H.B
the thing is that i can see two different vertexs i know that they are not welded, and i know that i selected both of them....thanks anyway, but i had to move on....i guess this won´t make a difference in the final image.. xgarcia
Ok - turn down the threshold. To something like 0.01....see if that helps. You're right - won't make too much of a difference, especially if you use a smooth modifier.
nisus
Hi all, Hi MHB, I'm not sure, but I assume this is a 'max'-question. If so, pls inform me so I can move this thread to it's appropriate section. rgds nisus
M.H.B
yeah, this is a max question....sorry about that nisus...i am kind new here...
xgarcia
opps...I forgot to ask if this was a MAX question. I just assumed b/c it dealt with welding vertices, but I guess other programs have this as well.
Jonny English
I get this sometimes. I find if it doesn't weld after I've clicked a ew times, then I use 'fuse' and this works, but might throw the vertices out of their plane. I think it occurs when vertices end up somewhere in 3D that you did not mean them to, if you have 3D snap on by mistake instread of 2.5D Snap.
