mdbassett
Hi all, I had a quick look around and didn't find anything on this. Basically can you set up gps cords in a c4d model. I want to position a camera as per my gps points not xyz. Many thanks, Michael.
Frosty
First time I've ever heard of this request....short answer, I don't think so. Long answer: There would be a number of difficulties in doing this centering around the fact that GPS coords would require spatial relationships in C4D to match. They do not. However, I think you could simulate this by matching 0,0,0 in C4D's world coords with the start point of your GPS. C4D, like most apps does have a zoom limit. This is likely to cause problems as well. I think your first step should be to search c4dcafe for a plug-in to do what you ask. It may exist. Second step would be to try and simulate how another application would do it -if any can.
mdbassett
Thanks for the response. Yep its a tricky one. The original model is in VectorWorks but this doesn't seem to support UTM lat long either. Unless anyone know of a plugin or such to rectify this.
