Dave Buckley
Just something that came out of Revit in around 5 minutes while exerimenting yesterday with the new tools, i gotta say, the panelisation is great for quickly modelling creative and complex curtain wall systems
Crazy Homeless Guy
It will be interesting. Most of the designers here still find it difficult to do anything conceptual with Revit, it is to cumbersome to work with and keep things organized at the conceptual state. We are still on 2009 though, we will probably move to 2010 in the next couple of months.
aaronrumple
eh.. I do 100% Revit for conceptual on. Can't say I'm too thrilled about the new release. The new massing is too limited - looks like a feature that was 25% cooked and tossed out the door. There are too many basic items they need to address before screwing up the UI and making conceptual tools that 90% of the users are not asking for. Dave Buckley
i agree, i work for an autodesk reseller and we had our revit 2010 training the other day down at autodesk, there was a lot of discussion about the new conceptual tools/massing evironment, and yes while i agree it is still quite underdeveloped, it is still a mile better than it was in the last release. and also a lot of promising things were said about things to come for revit but not too sure what i can say so all i can say is good things come to he who waits
