SandmanNinja
Hello, I am using AutoCAD 2004 and have a very rudimentary knowledge of it. Usually just enough to get me into trouble. I normally just use it to trace out very basic walls for a very rough floorplan to compliment my photography of a house (I measure the house with a sonic measuring device). So I don't go much beyond using basic polylines and moving/copying/offsetting/etc. However, I am trying to incorporate AutoCAD into my 3DS workflow and have come across a weird problem. I open an existing drawing and type UNITS to get the units. I then select the bits that I want to bring into 3ds, then do a Copy with Basepoint, then create a new AutoCAD file, type UNITS and set them to be the same as the original file, then type PASTECLIP and specify my base (generally 0,0). When I zoomed in on some of the arcs and what-not, they are NOT arcs, but rather corner verts. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but I did try to cover the bases with checking the units types of the original and (trying) to make the new sheet the same. Any ideas what I might be missing? cadmunkey
I think you may just have the viewres on a low figure. Type "viewres" then accept the fastzoom default (Y) then type in 20000 as the zoom circle percent.. regen your model then bingo!
