TAKA
Hey guys! All over this forum, we share tips and techniques about particular light settings, position, render settings, etc, in various packages. I wondered if we could start a topic about materials since it's also an important part of the whole process. Light is good, but with materials it's better (ok, it's a lame phrase). It's some sort of Unchallenge about materials, each time trying to get the best look and settings for a particular surface. I know sometimes u post links or give some properties about specific surfaces, but i would like to go more in depth and maybe on the long term create standard libraries we could all use and be inspired from. Material creation needs a lot of tweaking and maybe some of you are reluctant to give away their secrets, but i think it's necessary to know how and why this material uses these settings and how they look when rendered. We could start with a standard room with a windows and gradually add objects to the scene. If anybody is ok with this, i'll get started right away! PS: the reason i posted this topic here is that i was addressing a MAX topic, but if it works it'll apply to us all. THX!
