YOHKOH
Hi Does anyone know a way to chamfer the edge of a box but vary the radius of the chanfer from 0 to say 30mm. The block is also curved. Any help would be appreciated. I'm trying the loft tool but with not a lot of success in this instance. The porblem is how to centralise the loft. MrCAD
Well what I would do is.. 1. Draw a rectangle (Spline) 2. Extrude it (use the height you need) 3. Convert to editable poly 4. Select the edges you need to chamfer within editable poly and select the Chamfer option hope it helps cheers Meher
SandmanNinja
You can also set the edges of some Mental Ray A&D or ProMaterials (probably the latter) to fillet/chamfer.
YOHKOH
Sorry I didn't explain myself clearly. I need to vary the fillet along the edge of the block so that the edge tapers down from a fillet radius of 30mm to 0mm. Anyways, we have done it in Rhino but would like to know if its possilbe in max.
