Sketchrender
Just Installed it, and i don't know why , Autodesk can't leave well enough alone. I am spending a lot of time just tring to get the back ground colour in my viewport correct so i can see the frozen objects from the ones i am modeling. I should not have to do that. Wasting my time. Sorry nice looking and all, but a little pissed. phil

It had people that were both for and against it, which can be expected. However, the reason I am posting is that it came up in the thread that the user interface can be rolled back to the 2009esque interface that you are used to. Don't know how, but I am it wouldn't take to much searching to figure it out.
Sketchrender
And if you have uninstalled and reinstalled everything as you are directed to do so, what use is that. Not directed at you. by the way..........
Crazy Homeless Guy
I guess I am not understanding what is difficult about changing colors of the background? It is the same as it was in 2009, and even if the didn't change the interface for 2010, it would be the same process for changing the background? ...unless you had a custom profile for your interface that got deleted by uninstalling 2009? But anyway, ....here are a few interesting posts from the CGTalk thread about ways to customize the interrface. I probably won't start production in 2010 for another month or two, depending when we roll it out firm wide. An even then I will leave the default interface until I familiarize myself with it before switching to the custom options. http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=5806485&postcount=264 http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=5807489&postcount=270 http://forums.cgsociety.org/showpost.php?p=5808504&postcount=
Justin Hunt
I downloaded both MAx and Design. I do prefer the Design default interface, its clean and clear. The Max inteface is just that tiny big off to be an eye sore. One of the first things I did was darken the backround and application colours. jhv
Spooner04
It seems to me like 80% of the graphite modeling tools in max design 2010 are just moved to the UI from the "right click-in-viewport" quad menu. They added a few new poly modeling tools that will be nice, but it would be nice just to have those on the quad menu instead of taking up a lot of real estate. I will be looking for a way to do that shortly. Hope i'm not jacking the thread. Just figured i'd throw my 2 cents in.
