Kpelle
Hello I have a texture of a wooden floor (image included) where im trying to make the different wood colors look more like eachothers so there is no big color difference. I've used Replace Color on the brightes wood types and made them darker. But, my problem is that the entire texture gets unsharp and blurry after this. I've tried a few thing but i cant seem to get i sharper. Does anyone know how to fix this, or know another better method to recolor the different wood types?? Thanks in advance. Bwana Kahawa
Try playing around with High Pass filter to 'neutralise' the colours a bit more, than add the colour back over them as you want?
Peter M. Gruhn
I lifted the image into different layers based on original colour. The yellows, the dark, the tans... Then use Match Color to a layer consisting only of the darks. Took longer to do the selections for the layers than to do the match colors. Regarding the 'blurry' problem, I don't know that might change as I did not try to duplicate your problem and the image was badly enough JPEGged to begin with... Tommy L
Ummmm, why not just use a different wood map? I think there's quite a few out there.
