ctasker
This is probably a fairly basic question but i have little experience modeling free form geometry most of what i do is orthogonal. Can anyone suggest the best method to model a berm or mound of earth on top of an existing terrain surface which slopes significantly? I have the footprint on plan and an indicative section through the site . Plan & Section attached. Hope someone can help.
RevitGary
Make a plane give it 15 by 30 segments ( whatever works best ) turn it into an editable poly. Select vertex in the edit poly pull down. Use the paint deformation ( near the bottom ) push / pull to make mounds.

ctasker
Thanks for the replies. Went with tracing a line around the 3d boundary for the berm. Used subdivide and soft selection to create the height.
