Tim Nelson
Damn, I was wondering who I lost those contracts to, now I know! J/k, I'm happy for you. If people can just hang in there and stick with it, the work comes in. Sometimes its too little too late, but not always. Thanks for the update. Inxa
Welcome back. It's tough real tough. But good to see you back in action. Show us some animations once you have completed them. Tim - Very nicely put. Words of inspiration for alteast me.
shaneis
Hey hey hey! Good on you Joel. Welcome back, I guess this means the wrist is also going well?
SandmanNinja
Hey Yeah, the wrist is pretty good. Although the strength just isn't what it use to be, and it aches a bit more on cold days. I can type just as fast I as I could before, but the mouse control is still not 100%. Accuracy is the main thing. I've reduced the mouse movement sensitivity and that pretty much compensates. Thanks for asking. I pick up the new computer Friday - i7 (3.2GHz), 6 gigs DDR3 ram, 9800GT with a gig of DDR3 video ram, terabyte of storage. Pretty stoked. The quad core is struggling to crank out stuff fast enough. I expect to get little sleep Friday, as I install stuff and have a play.

Logan.W
Well I just joined the forum. Haven't really seen your work. But I've seen your help. A true asset over here. Welcome back!
SandmanNinja
Hi Logan, Glad to be of service. Some of my interiors are on my website (in my signature here). Will have some new ones after I get the i7 after this weekend.
Logan.W
Thanks! I did see your website and browse through it. Quite impressive. If I was new to ArchViz, I could have easily mistaken some of those shots as real. -_^ (jealous!) lol I am trying to build an i7 PC too... and hopefully I can get the parts locally. It's always a problem! You might have seen my post already... http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/36316-mac-pc-architectural-work-2.html You getting the i7 this coming weekend makes me crave for mine even more! Arnold Sher
Hi Logan, We are running Nehalem I7's in our office 12 machines... By far the best investment we've made. Solid as a rock and the speed is awesome. You can get them locally via Rectron or Sahara... Highly recommend it... Make sure you run windows XP64 bit though... Logan.W
Thanks a lot for the information sir! Really appreciate it. I've sent a quote to Sahara and I am currently waiting for it. Could you give me an estimate of the cost of one of your pc's and its specifications? (Please reply in the thread I've made -- don't want to hijack this one. hehe) http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/36316-mac-pc-architectural-work.html Regards,
andyH
Well as somebody just starting out I must say the beginning of this post was pretty disheartening, my situation is almost the same, family, kid, job a passion for 3d, I dont have your skills yet, but to see you now making a success of it is inspiring... glad things have worked out for you!!
