I'm not sure how to read into this, but web is clearly the top service that is in demand on Elance. 3D is #64 on the list:

It would be nice to correlate that index with the awarded and completed contract amounts.

For example, an industry segment can be 'down' but actually have a higher dollar amount.

For instance, under the animation group (ranked 37), total over the last 6 months was $178k vs CSS (ranked 6) which totalled only $90k in the same time period.
