File Link question (NLS files & importing DWG)

Hi All,

 

I have had the most weird thing happen to my machines

I am working on a scheme and have traced over the architects drawings in Adobe Illustrator CS4,

 

I have been exporting the files as DWG's absoluteley fine until today,

Opening Max up this morning to import a recently drawn elevation I get the following error message.

 

The NLS files required to convert the text entities and symbol table names in your drawing cannot be found or anre not installed in your system. Linking this file may result in a loss of information

 

To install the missing NLS files, double-click the regional settings icon in the windows control panel

 

Do you want to link this file Y/N

 

So I thought I would simply open up max on another machine and I have the same error message on 3 different machines,

 

whats going on there then?

Not sure what is going on, but.... Try saving the Illustrator file as version 8. The you can import directly into Max, without using DWG.
