steering wheel default setting

hi there,

is there any way to set up a default setting of the steering wheel (which i'm finding quite useful) to be always set to mini-object view wheel?

 

its a bit of a pain to always have it reset to the original large wheel and then have to change the settings?

I don't use this feature. But if you go to your menu bar and choose: Views->SteeringWheels->Properties:

 

Once in there you have the option to set the size. I would guess that this would change the size and also save it in your 3dsmax.ini file.

 

If that doesn't work: Once you have set everything up. You could try and save your custom UI by going to the file menu and choosing: Customize->Save Custom UI Scheme.

 

If that still doesn't work: I would assign a hotkey to it.

go: Customize->Customize User Interface->Keyboard... In the drop down menu "Group" choose SteeringWheels, Then assign the a hotkey to the appropriate one.
