Inputing feet and inches using different keys?

Hello,

I'm trying to shave seconds off of my AutoCAD workflow and feel like spending time to go from the number pad to enter the ' and " signs gets too repetative and makes my hands move to far away from their normal shortcut keys. Back when I used to use softplan, I was able to use the plus and minus signs on the number pad as feet and inches, making it extremely fast to enter dimensions.

Is is possible to make a script for this if one doesn't exist already?

Thanks,

Aaron

convert everything into inches (only)

12' 4-3/4" = 148.75

just learn The 1 foot increments, + The inch(es) additional.

it will help you save Time, especially if you use a mouse left-handed

Then your right hand can enter The numeric input on The keyboards number pad.

This is very fast

also you can program your autocad command aliases as numbers
