Jez(UK)
As I'm getting back into 3DS work after a fairly long absence, I looked at Evermotion's Archinterior / Exterior series. I too am quite amazed at the sales pitch - it's where the 'problem' is I feel - as it's the pitch which is literally saying 'press render and you too can get into the Arch Vis business' (or something like that). I was looking at them though from a learning point of view - but really, I don't see them as having *ANY* value in that regard (there aren't ANY explanations). leoviale
Well, there was one thread once, about a member who asked about evermotion archinteriors, and asked about what pack should he have bought to learn something about rendering, etc. And then he was complaining about them, because he didn't know how to use them, or use the same settings to another scene. And this is about the learning point of view that u describe; i think that if u wan't to learn, this evermotion packs r maybe the worst investment u can get, because it's done by ppl who knows how to do it, and doesn't explain nothing about it, everything it's already done. And my reply to this guys was: before spending lots of money in that, u should check Christopher Nichols dvds, about GI, that's one of the best ways to learn how to create your own scenes, at least those where my investments and worked just fine. And about those ppl who use it to just hit render and get away with it, i think it sucks, because i had to learn all this stuff, and those guys maybe use those scenes and can create some "crappy" images, as i showed in the begging of this thread, and charge almost nothing for that job and maybe they take the chance for us, because we charge for our work a reasonable price, and some times some clients don't care about quality and some just think that those guys will give them a good result, and instead of that, they just screw them up with a crappy work based on an absolute lack of knowledge.
