cjjat puresilica
Hi, I seem to have overcome the issues regarding incomplete renders and flat rendered images so here is a new problem: How do I create a plain under the model, that allows transparency to see through to the water in the background image but receives a reflection of the model? Simple rendered image attached. Many thanks, Christopher
jophus14
Try giving the plain a Matte material so and then set up to have a reflection channel render out with the scene. Take both, the render and the reflection channel and composite them in Photoshop. Should work fine. Or.... Make the plain invisible to camera but still allow for reflections. cjjat puresilica
Hi Jophus 14, What I have done is create a plain to establish the correct perspective for the background image. Assigned a Vray Matte Shadow material and then added a reflection map i.e a jpeg of the background image. Are you then suggesting that I add a Vray Reflection Map under Vray Settings? I hope have understood you correctly. If not could I please trouble you to clarify in more detail. Thank you, Christopher
jophus14
I think I understand you. I'm not sure what you want to apply to the plain under the model, but you can right click after selecting the plain, go to Object Properties, tick off visible to camera and make sure Visible in reflection and refraction are ticked in the properties box. This will allow reflections to be visible, but the plain to be invisible to the camera. Is this what you want?
