Hello there..i've been working at a scene ..I still can't get them to look photorealistic...there are so many things to get them perfect, that it seems so difficult to make a proper image...I don't know what to change to this image anymore..

DOF is a little strong, as suggested, especially considering how everything in the foreground is completely in focus. I would play with the positions of the props, the way their borders seem to touch without overlapping gives a screwy sense of perspective.

For example, the top of the salt/pepper and the top of the napkin holder are just touching the edge of the plate and not overlapping with anything. The napkin holder is also at such an angle that without the reflection it would be hard to tell that it's 3d.

IMO u made a nice pic, more artistic, u should leave it that way, but if u r looking for photo realism, drop down a little the DOF and don't make such a contrasted image, also the colors r too saturated, that's because of the post edition, maybe u r using a hard light layer on top, or something like that, u should either lower its intensity, or just erase it.

I like this image. Realism is not the holy grail, unless that is your goal.

I think its hard to tell the subject matter in the image. My eye is distracted by the DOF background as if you want me to focus on the table in the front. But then when I focus on the table, it seems like you cut off too much of it for me to really take it all in. I think it looks great, better than realsitic as it has some style and flare to it.

I love it. I think that too many CG artists in the Architecture field are going so much for photo realism that they forget that what they are making is also a piece of art. Sure you could tone down the DOF, adjust textures here, reflection there, but I think that the use of camera angle and subject placement does a lot for the image.

Photo realism aside, its realistic enough for me and a very pleasing image :)
