huntch3
Hi How do you render an imported dwg from cad....rendering just the lines....? Do you have to turn the entire dwg file into an editable poly in cad first?? thanks for any input
epelj1
This is what I've done in the past.. In Autocad, print to a PDF.. then in Photoshop, save as a jpeg (or I guess a lossless format would work better) Create a plane in max with the same proportions as the pdf/jpeg and apply as a material. I'm sure there is a better way to do it, but that's my suggestion!
Ricardo Eloy
If it's just a simple 2D file, you can import it, turn it into editable splines and select "renderable" in the modify tab.
