Would like some opinions of the best way to tackle this

HI, i amvery close to finishing modelling a project and to begin texturing. Im just doing the small details before i begin. but ive hit a point where im think do i spend time modeling or use a texture mapto cheat it. If you can just give me your opinions and how you would tackle it that would help loads.

I would use a texure for the dif map in combination with a BASIC model of the object (really simple polys maybe?) or a displacement / bump depending on how close you are. You could make a displacement using crazy bump, or by modelling one and generating a displacement map from the model using Zdepth.
