muzzy
Hi all, I am rendering Farnsworth house for my project. Sky and trees in progress. I have problems with shadows and chrome material with radosity. My first problem is shadows. all the objects looks like floating in the view. I used the radiosity option in max 5.1 and inserted daylight system. some how, sunlight does not cast shadow. Shadow option is on and shadows set for adv. ray trace. Also I used chrome material on the legs of mies chairs. It renders fine with basic scanline but renders black in radiosity render. I also add my setting for chrome material. Please critic on everything. Thanks. Exposure control settings, Logorithmic exposure control Brightness 20, contrass 65, midtones 1.0, physical scale 15000 (same as sunlight) Color correction and desaturate low levels are on. abicalho
Re-Use direct illumination will use both Direct and Indirect Lights from the Radiosity engine, meaning, the shadows will be cast dependent on your mesh size. If you use Render Direct Illumination, the image will be composed by using the Direct illumination from the lights, and the Indirect illumination from the Radiosity engine. Hope it helps, Alexander
