AJLynn
Since there's a new photography board, I'm going to start a new tradition on it. Post a photo that you took, Photoshopped, scanned, or just re-noticed in your library, in the last week. Usual size restrictions apply. Despite the forum name, it does not have to be a digital photo, and does not have to be architectural. I took this on Sunday by the Charles River in Allston. Minolta X-700, Vivitar S1 28-90/2.8, Fujicolor 200, minilab scan.

Stephen Thomas
Pseudo-hdr I suppose I didn't create an hdr then tonemap it, just blended the exposures using masks and brushes in certain areas.

videep
Hello Everyone Nice and an interesting thread. Just started off with some photography. Can some one tell me what would be an ideal camera to buy for some good pictures. I am no professional just want one for myself. Just clicked some pics of one of the forests recently. Dave Buchhofer
Depends on budgets, compact wise, the panasonic LX3 is pretty sexy as a wide angle camera. I went for the nikon d90, but you can get similar quality out of any of the SLR cameras nowadays if you're looking for something a little more serious, the sweet spot of price/performance for me now looks like the nikon d40, or the canon XS(?)
