Brian Clark
Is there no way to have the camera match the view in Sketchup once imported in Max? I want to keep the sketchup cameras in my 3ds max scene. Everytime I export as .3ds with the cameras, the camera comes into max crooked. I figure this has something to do with the perspective in SU not being compatible to Max. Anybody have any suggestions? -Brian
Tom Hamelrijckx
The pages are imported as cameras correctly, only their 'field of view' need to be adjusted in Max. In sketchup, go to the 'camera' menu, click on 'field of view' and note down the 'field of view' value below on the right. This is the vertical value. Back In max, select the camera, go to its parameters and change the icon on the left of 'FOV' (on top), in the vertical value. Then copy the previously, in sketchup noted value in the FOV field. Brian Clark
Thanks, I also had to adjust the horizontal as well. That is nice to know about the camera info in sketchup. Thanks again.
