Upgrading to Max 2010 - License Issue amongst other issues

Just after a small bit of knowledge with regards to updating my Max Design 2009 installation to 2010.

I currently have Max Design 2009 installed but now my Max 2010 has arrived i need to install this. Do i need to be careful with regards to licenses or is it just a case of uninstalling one and then installing the other??

Or do i have to transfer the license?

Also with Max 2009 i was having issues in the viewport, every now and again the materials that were being displayed in the viewport disappear. Everything still renders fine but the materials do not show. One minute they are there, next minute they are not?? Any ideas

Finally, if i have files saved in 32bit can they be opened in 64bit and vice versa?? I'm currently using 32 bit but going to upgrade to 64 with the new release

Cheers guys

You can have both versions installed at the same time as far as I know, so licenses shouldn't be an issue. Also, with the 32bit vs 64bit, the only problem you may run into is with a large file that takes up lots of RAM that will render in 64bit, but possibly not 32bit.
