Brian Cassil
This is going to drive me absolutely crazy! In the past I have always used a sky dome for my "environment" because that seemed to be the best way to do skies with FR. But I've been doing more and more with native Max radiosity for exterior scenes and sky domes don't seem to work very well with radiosity (even if I do exclude it from the radiosity processing) I must be missing something on setting up an environment properly. I load a spherical panoramic image into the environment and it looks perfectly in the background but I can't see it in the reflections at all! What am I doing wrong? I'm using raytrace reflections and I've made sure that use environment settings is checked in the raytrace map parameters. I've found cumbersome way to work around this but I'm sure I shouldn't have to. All help is greatly apprecieated.

Brian, Try going in to Exposure Control and setting the Physical Scale to the intensity of the Daylight, 85,000 or so. Physical Scale acts as a multiplier of sorts for reflections and Standard lights in a Radiosity scene. Ted
