MegaPixel
I'm setting up city traffic scene where dozens of cars drive by at different rates of speed. I'd like to have thecars repeat themselves once out of view to acheive a continuos traffic pattern effect. These cars are not constrained to paths. Everything has been done in the Curve editor so far. The Support files say something about copying and pasting keys but do not elaborate on how to do that. I'd love to learn something pretty quick. I have 2 days to do this. Thanks guys, Mega
Jennifer
Hi, In the track bar below the time slider in your viewport you can shift-clone keys. Click on the key, press shift, then move the key in time. A better way would be to add an "out of range" type. Open the Curve Editor, select the XYZ controllers for that object, then in the Controller menu of the Curve Editor, select "Out of range types...". The 'Cycle' style is probably what you need. Then you don't have to manually clone keys, or add keys, past the first start/end keyframes. If they are running at different rates, just make sure that they don't eventually overrun each other if you have more than one on a track. Changing to a Path controller on the car, then changing the Percentage controller to a List controller, then adding a Noise controller to that, will add some variation to the speed of the cars. Have fun! Jennifer www.4dArtists.com
