innerdream
Hey everyone, I would like to find a nice tutorial on how to set up a render and composite a building into different environments such as cities and wooded areas. Does anyone know where to find some? Thanks in advance.
Claudio Branch
Try this out: http://www.pbviz.com/forum/Topic1233-77-1.aspx It might be helpful...
LordRaven
Here is a tutorial that might help you: http://www.cgdigest.com/index.php/camera-match-tutorial/ It is written by me, and so far I have received good feedback. I have tried to explain the work flow I use every time I am asked to do a photomontage, using a simple example. I hope it helps.
Claudio Branch
Your tutorial is quite detailed and well-written. Nice job... I pretty much just eyeball all of my photo-match projects.

innerdream
Thank you both for those. Lord Raven that's a great tutorial but I'm using Modo so it doesn't transfer for my needs.

Claudio Branch
One small piece of advice I can offer is don't beat yourself up trying to get an absolutely perfect alignment within the render. You can get it really close and then skew/stretch/warp/distort the image in Photoshop. I usually render out the background and foreground at separate elements and then finish up with Photoshop and/or After Effects.
