Quique
Much like Russell Thomas, I'm moving to a big city in Texas. To be specific, Austin. Most of my previous work comprises of architectural renderings, with 1.5 years focusing on furniture renderings. I was laid off in December, and am moving to a city with higher potential than College Station, TX for 3D work. I'd like to stay in architectural renderings, but moving into compositing live action & cgi work is interesting, too. I've made my rounds pounding the pavement at many architectural offices, but if you have any type of connection you feel comfortable with passing along, I would appreciate it. I'll be in Austin May 27th for a 3D User's Group's monthly meeting, to introduce myself & network. If anyone else wishes to meet me at the meeting, or another time, feel free to contact me, I'm sure I'll be making many trips to Austin the next couple of months. Thanks, Enrique Camacho

Quique
Amer Abidi: Thanks for the well wishes! Maxer: I appreciate you keeping an eye out for me. I would even move to Houston for a good professional opportunity. Regarding the 3D User's group meeting I attended in Austin, out of about 15 people, at least 4 of us were looking for work! Quique
Ah, thanks for the post. I just moved to west Houston a couple of weeks ago, as I got my old job back. I took it considering the economic state. So, although I'm open for moonlighting freelance gigs, I'm not available for full time work anymore. I do appreciate your response, nonetheless. Devin Johnston
Good for you, I know how hard being laid off is and if your old company wanted you back then they are probably planning on keeping you for a while.
