Matt McDonald
For those of you that frequently provide prints as part of your service do you typically use glossy paper, semi-gloss, matte? Anything else?
Kawzy
We use matte paper. It's really just preference when you break it down though. We use it because it has reduced glare and seems to not smear/smudge quite as easily.
mi75
I use a super gloss just because it makes my images look nicer, like mentioned above its personal taste.
ihabkal
Canon Ultra Glossy paper is the best, it is also not cheap. I love it. It is very thick too, very classy. I tried other glossy paper from othe rmanufacturers. Kodak is the worst because it smells like a chemical plant. Epson and HP are good too. Even Staples Glossy paper is fine. But Canon paper is amazing. This said, I was unable to touch one in about three years: no one imports them here in Lebanon, and if you order them they shipping and duties make them cost too much. I used to order them at Adorama or Amazon, whenever they had a special. Once they had buy one get one free, at $30 the packet that was an amazing bargain. I miss buying stuff in the US. I alone was a stimulus package. befoe I forget, I still have prints from 2003 or 2004, canon ink on canon glossy paper, they still look very vibrant and no fading. I had many epson prints that faded in a few months while in a drawer and I threw those away. Edited May 28, 2009 by ihabkal
